Hi,
I'm on my 25th set of braces (ClearStep, not Invisalign). On my 24th set, the bottom brace was very tight on my gums right at the front. The dentist pointed out that there was some gum recession occurring, and adjusted the next brace so that it wasn't rubbing in the same way.
I expected that my gum would start recovering then. But on my latest visit, I learned that this wouldn't happen, that the damage was essentially permanent.
So, it seems that the best that can be made of this situation is to share my experience, and recommend anyone who feels that the braces are pressing hard on their gums, or pushing them back (as in my experience), consults with their dentist as quickly as possible.
