Jeez, how long does it take for the aligners to arrive?!

Discussions about treatment with invisible braces that use clear aligners, such as Invisalign, OrthoClear, the Red White and Blue system, etc.

I'm going on my 9th week, and they still haven't come!!! They were supposed to come January 6th, but nothing. I just keep imagining how much my teeth could of moved in over 2 months time. How long did it take for you?

They took about 3 weeks. I wonder if Christmas has caused a delay?

Yeah, that's what they said was the reason for the delay was. He told me to expect them in no more than ten days last time I talked to him, but they still haven't come. Should I patiently wait it tout or ask him another "exact" date.? lol

Mine took 6 weeks. However, I think the ortho may have had them a week or so before my appointment.

I would call and ask for sure. They may be sitting in the ortho's office and no one has bothered to call you about them yet.

The waiting is always hard. I got my set of refinements the week of Christmas. They should come soon. Stay positive and don't complain too much because it's probably not your ortho's fault at this point.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to call on Monday. I already asked two days ago, so I don't want to pester them.

My aligners took over seven weeks to arrive and were about two weeks late. During the last week, my ortho called Align Technologies to confirm that everything had shipped. This delay happened over Thanksgiving. Also Invisalign has work done in Costa Rica and Mexico, so there is a lot of coordination to produce a set of aligners. I didn't have any problems with tooth movement because of the delay.

Try this wait out for torture...... I went for first ortho exam on 15th August 2008, x rays, study moulds taken, then 26th September went for the invisalign moulds. 29th NOVEMBER!!! for the clin check and got my first set of trays on 10th January. I have 29 trays top and 13 bottom so just over a year before any refinments . I have been told the delay was because I'm in Scotland and the courier takes a while? Its all history now I'm in tray 2 and due for number 3 on Saturday - including more IPR - i just cant wait!

Yay, the finally came guys! After close to 3 months of waiting. I'm on day 2, and they are a little uncomfortable but I'm just thinking of the bigger picture. Straighter teeth.

Well, so far I only have one attachment. I have 7 total trays for my upper aligners, and 13 total trays for my lower aligners.
