Clincheck shows no attachments?

#1 Post by scorp76 »

Hello,

I just got my Clincheck and it does not show any attachments at all? is that normal?
Little about my case -
I have gaps in the teeth (both upper and lower) and thats the reason I am going for Invisalign treatment. My ortho had told me that he will put a "false tooth" in initial stages of my treatment to cover the gap and then he will take it out so the teeth can move and fill in the gaps. The Clincheck does show the false tooth and also at what #aligner it will be removed. The Clincheck also shows me that I will have 31 aligners for the top and 17 for bottom.

Should I call ortho to find out abt attachments or maybe just wait until my first aligner appt, which is on July14th?
Thanks!!

I dont think its anything to be concerned about but call your Ortho anyway, it will put you at ease until your next appointment. You dont have anything to lose!

Maybe you don't have any attachments- I believe not everyone does although most people do.

If you are worrying about it make the call though, if your orthodontist is any good they won't mind answering your queries.

There is a feature in the creation of the video that allows the orthodontist to place or remove attachments. It may be that your treatment doesn't involve them, but it is also possible that they were removed to show you.

If they were in the video, they would appear to be red to distinguish them from the colour of the teeth. When they are placed, they are not red, but a tooth-coloured filling material instead.

The only way to find out is to ask your orthodontist :). Good luck!

My clincheck didn't show any attachments and I have 14 so they may just not be shown on the version you seen.
