What's the grossest place you've ever dropped your braces?

Discussions about treatment with invisible braces that use clear aligners, such as Invisalign, OrthoClear, the Red White and Blue system, etc.

What's the grossest place you've ever dropped your braces?

Front of the toilet on the floor. Home bathroom, not public. But the floor hadn't been "tended to" to my liking at the time I dropped the braces there.

Just barely missed dropping them in the bowl on one occasion.

Can't help the occasional accident as I have a shallow little bathroom cabinet where I keep them whilst eating.

After dropping them in an unsavory place, I give them an alcohol bath and then a thorough brush.

True story. Was at a party and took my aligner out for a drink. Friend hosting the party happens to be a long-time friend of mine, also wearing Invisalign. Partway through the party, I hear mass hysteria. His dog has a tray in his mouth. My friend thought it was his, and wondered where the other one could have come from. I check my pocket and mine is gone! Fortunately, I was due to change that evening so didn't have to put the dog-chewed aligner in my mouth :).

We rented a cottage for three days, I dropped it down a rather horrible looking toilet. I don't bite my nails because of the germs on your fingers. What I put back in my mouth that night haunts me lol

So far the worst has been in the bathroom sink after my husband shaved (he never rinses out the sink).

In the bins at a farm http://myinvisalignblog.com/2009/10/why ... vides.html but also in numerous restaurant bins....

I try not to think about it too much.
