Hopefully your 1st refinement experience will be better. If not, there are still 2 more refinements available after to get that perfect smile. As stated above, there are certain situations where you may need partial braces to achieve some movements. Hopefully you are seeing a doctor who is able to understand how to move teeth with Invisalign and braces.

Good luck!

Still waiting 13 weeks later and still no sign, I keep ringing the dentist and alls they keep saying is that they coming from America and they will chase them up.

I think this is an awful long time to be waiting. I live in the UK and ive never known anything to take so long.

Well after now waiting 16 weeks for my refinements and having my pictures took 3 times in total i found out what the delay was after asking for the address of invisalign to complain about the time delay it only turns out that the dentist that took my pictures never gave them to my doctor so they have never been sent off even though i was told invisalign wanted better pictures and after me ringing up every week and was advised "no there not in yet" and they would get the dentist to chase these up, this is just a joke now I have written the Practice Manager such a lovely letter. I think paying £2500 is not acceptable to be getting messed around like this.

Any suggestions on what else i should do?

I think that is ridiculous! My dentist was slow to get my original trays in and I had to call a bunch of times too, but not that long. I'm in the process of a mid course correction now and it's been 3 weeks, but he told me it could be up to 4 or 5 weeks for them to come in (maybe sooner but wanted to err on the side of caution).

I would look at the invisalign site to see if there is any way to contact them via that - I know there is a toll free number to call to locate a provider in your area, and even if that is all you can get they might be able to get you a number or more info to contact the headquarters.

I would definitely be complaining to them, at least letting them know how one of their providers is doing, even if they just note his/her file that he's slow to get things in or process things.

Good luck and hope they come in soon.

Thanks Donna I handed in the letter today so I will see if they telephone me tomorrow if not I will look into contacting them in the next few days, I am so furious I have had nothing but bother with them since I started which was over a year ago and I am still not happy my teeth havent really moved from when I started.

Still waiting and still not heard anything back after giving my letter in. This is getting beyond a joke, I have advised them that I will speak to the dental association if I dont get a reply.

If you haven't already, I would suggest submitting a written complaint to the dental association. I'm not sure how things work in the UK; but if they continue to ignore you, perhaps there is a possibility of recouping the fee through a small claims court process?

Thanks for your reply "Second Time Around" I wrote to the dentist and then i wrote again giving them 14 days to reply otherwise i would take my matter further and i received a letter from them stating there was an error with there software when sneding the paperwork off because it had to be done online and stated there was a problem with the broadband. They said i have to wait a few weeks to receive my £50 deposit back as the cheque needs to be signed by the two partners.

Am not happy with the reply i have received from them as the problem was the pictures which never got send off as the dentist who took them left without sending them off so i had to go in another 2 times to get these took which was 6 weeks ago, so i dont understand how this was a problem with the softwear. I think there just looking for an excuse.

Any suggestions what i should do?

Finally after 23 weeks of waiting I have an appointment on Wednesday to get my refinements, several complaints have been made and a written complaint to my dentist awaiting to hear what he has to say now. I would definately not recommend my dentist. Will keep you all updated on how I get on on Wednesday.

Sorry to hear about the problems you've been having. Remember that you're still going to be going to the office to continue your treatment. Hopefully you are able to put these setbacks behind and look ahead to the final smile you've been waiting for :). Best of luck!
