substitute for aligner 'chewies'

#1 Post by goodteethby2013 »

Already lost one of the two chewies I got with my first tray - does anyone have any tips for substitute materials / objects that I can chew on to seat my trays? Thanks!

hi there,
On my initial visit they said I should bite down on hard things, like the end of a pen. My dentist actually doesn't offer chewies anymore because he says it doesn't work very good. He gave me tiny golf tee sticks to chew on. They work pretty good, because they are hard (wooden) you can really put pressure on your teeth.

my ortho told me to just bite down on a ball of tissues -- works great!
