Forgotten to put them in!

#1 Post by emma83 »

Oops, just got to work and realised I forgot to mine in today. Doh! I'm only a week into tray 2, I have read a few posts where people say the first week of each new tray is the most important so I'm hoping it wont matter too much. But I dont want to do anything that might make me have to wear them for longer!

Feeling very guilty now, it's going to be a long day

oh, that would bother me too!
that hasn't happened to me yet, though i worry it might because I put in my aligners without thinking (i'm just so used to it) that sometimes when I'm driving to work I check if I put them in! Don't feel bad, emma83, it could happen to any of us!

You may be in for a bit of discomfort tonight when you put the trays back in, but the teeth will adjust. Perhaps consider wearing this set an extra day to make up for the time you have missed today.

I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and check to be certain I haven't somehow removed my aligners while I am sleeping! I am prone to strange dreams, and I once chewed out my husband for taking my trays and hiding them from me (I was still wearing them...) See, we all have our aligner issues!

Might I suggest a post-it note on the bathroom mirror or back door so you are reminded to wear them each day? This might help until you've logged another set of trays and they are more a part of your routine! :D

It was funny - and kind of unfortunate... He's a forgiving sort of fellow for which I am grateful! :D
