Am I suitable for clear aligners??
Here are pics of my teeth. Could anyone comment and tell me if I am a possible candidate? My ortho appointemnt is next month, I'm hoping I will be able to stay away from braces. Thanks.

I have no experience with invisalign either, however i know that i did ask when i first went in to see an orthodonist ( I saw a few before i decided on one) and they all told me that I definitely couldn't get this product. they all pretty must told me that the invisalign product are for people that have small imperfections in their teeth that need straightened, they told me that if you have any kind of bite issue (crossbite, overbite, underbite, ect) that they usually are not the right way to go. But i agree with the above, only an ortho would know whats right for you! good luck in finding your answer!!

I know this is a bit late but if you want Invisalign, I'd say you are a candidate. Of course, that's only by comparing your teeth to mine and I was recently accepted for the procedure.
My front left tooth is rotated about 40 degrees and the tooth on the left is slightly back. My orthodontist had no problems talking me through both Invisalign and the Inman Aligner (not clear but still does the job relatively quickly) and he said it would take me 5-6 months at most as mine was a fairly simple case.
So yes, search around your local area for an orthodontist that knows about Invisalign in depth and they'd be able to help you.

FWIW, a 40 degree rotation of a tooth is not a simple movement with braces or Invisalign. Also 5-6 months sounds like your orthodontist expects a lot of movement in a very short time. Good luck and keep us posted on how your progress goes!Nav wrote: My front left tooth is rotated about 40 degrees and the tooth on the left is slightly back. Hey there... I will echo the others and say that only an orthodontist can tell you for sure.
However, your teeth look (to my inexperienced eye) like they need considerable work and the one that stands out to me is the canine. I have been doing this just about 2 years now, and the reason it has taken so long is due to trying to rotate and extrude an upper canine tooth. Canine teeth are (apparently) devils to shift!
Go in with an open mind. Invisalign has its drawbacks as well as benefits and after you get started, you will stop worrying so much about visibility, and more about getting the best result.

Initial set: 31 upper / 17 lower
1st refinement: 14 upper / 10 lower
2nd refinement: 10 upper / 5 lower

2nd refinement: 10 upper / 5 lower
I had two pre-molars that required rotation. After a mid course refinement, there was still difficulty getting them to rotate even with large attachments. A previous dentist had tried to rotate them with regular braces as well - with limited results - and it appears they rotated back over time. My orthodontist noted this was one of more unpredictable movements for Invisalign.
You definitely need to review this with a professional as there are a number of factors that can impact results.

Like everyone else has said only an orthodontist can tell you. However looking at your photos, your problems seem a lot less than mine when I started.
My original treatment was 17 trays which I was surprised by, considering how bad my upper teeth were
Every case is different, best of luck. Hope it works out for you.
