Length of time between tray changes
I am on Invisilign, and I don't quite understand why each new tray set is to be worn for two weeks before changing to the next set? My trays are clearly quite loose after just a few days, and new trays that I put in go in fairly easy to super easy. I am in my late 40's, single, and would like to start dating again. Why can't the time between tray changes be shortened from the current 14 days to say 10? What are the consequences? I want out of these as fast as possible. Why the two weeks per tray set? I would like to talk with my dentist about this (I get 3 sets and see them every 6 weeks), but I thought I would ask here first, see what everyone knows about this issue. Thank you so much!

Re: Length of time between tray changes
Speak to your doctor to determine how long each tray has to be worn for. 2 weeks is a guideline, but it does depend on the amount of movement required for each tray. If the doctor has made the movement quite quick, then accelerating the schedule may be a problem. Keep in mind there is also some variation between individuals and that even if you don't feel a lot of pressure, the aligners are still working.
In general, the slower the movements, and the longer the amount of time per tray, the more predictable the movements. If you accelerate the schedule, you may end up not achieving the desired movements and finding yourself in refinement or mid-course correction for a longer period of time. Hope this helps!
