So...I was not meant to switch to my second set of aligners until Sunday night, but this morning when I went to put my top ones back in (first set), they just refused to fit. This is because of a problem that has been there ever since I first got them (and noted by the orthodontist staff too) which is my end-most left side molar has a large gap next to it, and for some reason this makes that part of the aligner bend and collapse in on itself, not allowing enough room to actually fit over the molar.
So I kept trying to pull out that part of the aligner but it just kept bending in. In the end, I just gave up (I was late for work) and put in my second set, which fit perfectly. No pain, not much tightness either. I was pleased. I put in the bottom ones too just so the timing would match for both top and bottom.
Fast forward a few hours later and I'm hungry at work so I go to take out the aligners so I can eat. And...I can't. It's even worse than the very first time in the orthodontist when NOBODY could get the things out!!!
I finally got the top ones off, but the bottom ones are yet to budge. I made my gums bleed, the skin near my mouth is all red from tugging, and my "outie" tool is almost broken from the force.
I then was starving so had to eat carefully with just the bottom aligners in, thus hurting my inner bottom mouth / lip area and getting food inside the aligners, which I cannot STAND!
THEN I went to put the top aligners back in after brushing and such, and they won't go in. It's that stupid collapsed bit on the far left molar again!!!!!!!!!
So I've got the bottom ones STUCK, and the top ones in but not fitting on that molar.
I REALLY don't want to have to go back to the orthodontist! It's embarrassing AND I don't drive and it costs me $50 each time I go there in a cab!
AAAAAAGH!!!!!!
HELP!!!!! Cannot get aligners in or out!

It's ok!! I'm ok! Call off the police and ambulance! lol
I used NAIL SCISSORS to get the bottom ones off, and they popped off SO easily. THANK GOD! I have tried to bend the top one back into its regular shape and now they are soaking in a glass of warm water while I eat a delicious bowl of cereal, after having brushed my teeth thoroughly.
