I am on my 2nd tray for my uppers and so far so good nobody has noticed, speech difference is minimal mouth can be dry and lips crack a bit but my tongue is fine the tray only hurts putting on and off for 24 hours after that it is fine, drinking water all the time is a drag but i feel like a secret agent always keeping blue container on me and not leaving it anywhere and brushing teeth in toilets at work . The thing I am slightly worried about is Iam to have my 2 bottom teeth removed then I am on to wearing bottom trays i hope it does not make it harder to speak and closing my mouth might not work as it does now.
also to fellow brits retainer brite = sterident
its the same stuff but at massive price difference you dont have to have dentures to use it
how you finding invisilign? im really intrested in it...i keep reading bad reports so i dont really know what to think,
how long will yours be on for? if you dont mind me asking, how much is it? ive been quoted 4-5 k and to have on for 12 months. i am really intrested
I am 27 from the north west of england I dont think that there are many practices that can treat you with invisalign at first my general feeling was lingual braces, but there are practicaly none outside london so when I finally built up the courage to book an appointment (15 years too late) I talked with the ortho (she is great by the way) she gave me the options of invisalign which I had done a ton of research on the internet, and like you you either find the professional websites which promote it or message boards which slate it, like a number of people have stated on this site this may be down to the fact that unhappy customers complain and happy ones do not.
Anyway I think Iam drifting away from the point the cost for invisalign for me is £2000 for 42 top trays and £2000 for 32 bottom trays. It does not matter how many trays you have dont know if this applies same in USA.
I did write full page but had a mini powercut so im gonna try and make this short in case it goes again
nobody in my family or at work has noticed them just make sure you keep aprox 12 inches away from there face also no lisp noticable i hope this is the same when i put the bottom trays in.
tommorow is my 8th appointment where i get 2 extractions on the bottom done and get my bottom trays (its gonna be a fun christmas dinner) i didt get discovered when i had the tops done i hope for the same tommorow.
a fellow northerner!
i lived in liverpool for years, fab place.
thanks for the infp. strangely enough my ortho rang me this morning to ask me to go in to discuss further the process. i have been silly and read all the horror stories circulating the net regarding invislign and am now a bit (ok very) confused about the process!it gets so much slating, your right, and becasue its new i cant find any real long term data on it.
have a lovely christmas with your new invisible teeth
thanks again,
happy H xx
