Hi Mikeg333.

Good luck! Keep us posted as to your progress.

Interesting comment about your fingernails snapping off. Hmmm, when I get my essix retainer I hope that isn't a problem. My fingernails are like tissue paper!

Interesting too - that you want to fix everything. Me too! That must be why we are in braces/invisalign!

I am finishing up my first tray. Like many, my biggest fear after the first day was that I would not be able to remove my aligners because of the discomfort discomfort under my fingernails. I had to find some device. I purchased the Dentakit advertised on this site thinking the Aligner Removal Tool that was included would be the answer. Unfortunately, it was not because the hooks were much too thick to get between my aligner and the gum. Frankly I don't see how it could work for anyone. BUT luckily, I have been able to use the 2 Pick-a-Dent tools to get under the aligner and pull it up so I can grab it with my fingers. Took me a few days to figure out what worked for me, but it was a great relief. After about a week, my teeth had moved to the point where I didn't need the Pick-a-Dent tool any more, but I know I will be happy to have it again on Monday when I am scheduled to start my 2nd tray.

Welcome Mike!

Enjoyed your blog! Keep us posted on your progress.

I wanted invisalign, but my teeth were WAY too messed up for them. I would really like to follow a successful treatment.
