try seltzer water - the bubbles fill you up, plus it tastes better than plain water in my opinion!

I'm surprised your ortho said you could drink anything and eat... mine is adamant that it should only be water. Anything else traps sugars between the aligners and teeth. Also, hot liwuids can warp the shape of the aligners...

I'd definitely avoid to do that! Statistically there are many cases around the world that reported a lot of cavities during invisalign treatment, even though is required cleaning and flossing and so on.
Naturally your teeth should exposed to your saliva and with invisalign they're not so it's very dangerous having sugar on your teeth while you're wearing your aligners!
