refinement questions

I'm 'finished' with my uppers, but still have 12 more for my lowers. I thought I was going to get the refinement separately, but my dentist said that refinements are done at the end all together. for those of you guys who have had refinements done, is this how your dentist did it? because i figiured if i get the refinements for the uppers while the lowers are stil being finished, then i find out i need braces for further refining, then i might as well just get braces in the end before i even get refinements fo rmy lowers. to save time. and to make eating easier. suggestions?

That's not how it worked for me but maybe your dentist was thinking of sending invisalign a complete new set of molds (upper and lower) at the same time so the refinements are in harmony. I finished my lower aligners long before the uppers and I think some of my refinements didn't take into account the state my lowers were in. So maybe its not a bad thing to do it all at the end. Just a thought...
