...I just feel like I've been stuck in such a rut lately. I'm coming up on 2 years of Invisalign, tray number 32 (for 2 more weeks, 5 for this one in total ) out of 55 and I'm just feeling like this is never going to end. I know there have been changes, I can see it in the pics and peope who haven't seen me for some time comment on how my smile is changing but lately what Im seeing in the mirror isnt giving me that "jump up and down with excitment feeling". Im at the stage where the front teeth are moving and this is where utimately I should see the improvement (by end of treatment of course) so maybe I'm just looking for too much too soon, but boy oh boy am I just in a funk.

I apologize to anyone if this post brings you down in anyway, I really try to stay positive b/c I truly believe that attitude will bring you a long way though ortho treatment but I'm in need boost I think!

I know the rut feeling well with Invisalign so your not alone. I do have one question for you though....Have you had a refinement yet? Given your on tray 32 and its taking much longer I would think it might be time for a refinement. When I got into the 30s my trays always needed to be worn longer and it turned out it was because there had been small deveations between were Invisalign thought my teeth were and where they really were. Granted that was 2 years ago and maybe their computer animation stuff is better but its food for thought. Hang in there!

Thanks for the reply. Nice to know Im not alone . I have not had a refinement yet but my ortho and I had discussed it and my guess is most likely it will be happening soon. A couple tray back we talked about it but then the next tray fit like a glove so at this point hes keeping a close watch and with the next change in fit no matter how small I'll most likely go down that road to refinement. He too said in the beginning that when I get into the 30's it would be possible to have to do a mid course refinement.

not sure I want a refinement as this will cost me £250 as I live in rip off uk

yeah Diehard that does stink that you have to pay for refinments after all the money you spend to get the initial trays. Does it really cost the ortho that much more?? somehow I doubt it.

If I remember correctly I get 1 refinement at no cost but then I think I too may have to pay after that. Hopefully if I do need to go that route its only a 1 time deal.

I got two refinements at no cost. For some reason I think in the US you can get up to three with no additional fees. Trust me, my ortho at the time wouldn't of taken that financial hit so it must of been free.
