Retainer Question?

So I'm considering invisalign. I was curious about the retainers that everyone talks about. Does everyone always end up with a retainer? Do you wear it all the time? do you have to wear it for the rest of your life? My only reason to get invisalign is so that no one would see my braces. If in the end i end up with a metal retainer which i have to wear all the time that would really stink...

The retainers they use with Invisalign are clear and look exactly like the Invisalign trays. You'll probably have to wear it all the time for at least a few months and then at night after that.

The final retainer is like all the other retainers you have with Invisalign except the final one is made with thicker plastic. I had to wear it full-time for three months and then just at night from then on.

if u do get retainer is it provided by invisalign or more likely living in rip off uk im gonna get charged and 1 other thing im glad to get rid of my trays every 2 weeks how are the retainers gonna hold up against getting brushed every day without getting really dull????

The final retainer is provided by Invisalign at least it was for me in the US. As for its durability I can guarentee you'll have to replace it at some point after your treatment ends but I really think there are a lot of factors determining how long it lasts. For me because my bit was off, it only lasted 6 months and then I had to have an Essixs retainer made. Of course that was short lived also but thats another story....
