A word of advice....Don't pay in full up front for ANYTHING! Once any company gets all the money they are going to get from you, suddenly you seem to become much less important LOL. I didnt think the lousy 3% my ortho offered was worth losing the small amt of bargaining power i have. Make the smallest down payment you can and set up monthly payments for the rest. Im on day 3 of tray 2/12 with 2 attachments (ugh) but things are going well! ASK to see your Clincheck, it's very motivating to see where you are going to end up!
I agree! Plus, if you don't like the way that things are going or have to move in the middle of treatment you will not have to deal with waiting/hoping that you get a refund of what you have already paid. What a hassle it is to get money back! But, I bet you are right about them not giving you as good care since they already have your money in the bank.
In my case, I was offered a 3% discount if I paid upfront. But, seeing as how the interest rate on my savings account is *MUCH* better than that, I went with the payments and stretched them out over a month more than the treatment time estimate (note: not how long it would take to finish the first series of aligners which is a little more than half of the time quoted). Then I decided to go with the health savings account where the money will only be deposited every 2 weeks where the whole amount wouldn't be in there upfront anyway.
