new short-sided aligners

i got a set of 5 lower aligners to fine-tune my teeth after completing 11 trays. the new trays are half a tooth short on one side. just wondering if this is the way they are making them now to allow for easier removal. they irritate the tongue quite a bit. very annonying!

on a positive note, i'm getting closer to being finished and my teeth, upper and lowers, are looking great!

if i have refinment im gonna say i want same type as i have now no 1/2 cover and no buttons on front or they can have them back i will get veneers insted
