Last aligner and teeth not straight :(

I just need to vent. I'm on my last top aligner (18 of 18) and my teeth are nowhere near finished. They're better, but not even close to done. My eye tooth simply won't move and the front two are still angled inward. Now I wonder if they ever will move. I have an ortho appt today so I hope we do molds for the refinement. The ONLY good thing is that the bottoms seem to be on track and I have 27 on the bottom, so hopefully I can still finish up on time.
This sucks though. I wear these things all the time. I think one of my front teeth tipped and that may have caused the problem.
Grumble, grumble.

LOL, love the dancing banana guy
more rant: my teeth are just not moving. My ortho sent me back four sets of aligners, from 18 to 14. This is the second time I've had to go back. I sorta had a meltdown in the office.
I think this just isn't working, I should have gotten ceramic braces and I don't believe it's going to work.
Also, he told me to wear my aligners 23.5 hours a day. I am already wearing them 22 hours a day, religiously. I need to be able to eat, dammit. I think he doesn't believe that I am wearing them enough, but I really am, so the things just aren't working. And if I have to give up coffee then I really am going to be an unhappy person - 1/2 hour divided by 3 = 10 minutes to drink coffee in the morning??? And 10 minutes to eat??? What if I actually attempt to have a social life - I need more than 10 damn minutes.
SO PISSED OFF.

can u just not wear them over a longer period of time 3 or 4 weeks instead of 2 because u r on a lot lower number of trays than average

I wonder...I should ask - I just put aligner 14 back in and it doesn't fit, because the sides of my teeth are way beyond aligner 14! I am really starting to wonder if I'm getting the best care from my ortho. Invisalign does not have a number to call them directly.

what im really wondering is that the ortho and invisalign always tell you never to skip trays or wear them less then the two weeks because it does not give you bone enough time to heal..so how is it possible to go back so many trays all at once? why not go down each tray every two weeks until they get you to the tray they want you on?isnt moving down so many trays all at once bad for the bone just like moving ahead that many all at once would be bad? ...just wondering?

That's a good question. I thought it was soft tissue that had to heal and not bone.
I've resigned myself to the fact that there is no way invisalign is working for me, and I am spending a lot of money for 1/2 the results I should have had. I went back the four aligners but logically if it didn't work the first time and I have been wearing them 22 hours a day without fail, how would it work the second time? My ortho says to be patient. Fine, but I am not a stupid person. Logically this is just not working. I don't even know what other ortho I would go to and so I just kind of give up. I wish I'd gotten regular braces.

I'm on tray 4 of 6. Just had adjustment # 3 today. Al lis going well I'm told. However, if I am not pleased at the end of tray 6 it ismy intention to go metal and not keep on with invisalign. It is not more comfortable just differently uncomfortable. And I don''t care if it is not noticable. It is annoying.
23.5 hrs a day is not reasonable..you have to eat and brush a few times a day and that takes longer than 1/2 hr!!!
Anyway, good luck to us all!
