How are the aligners suppposed to fit against the gumline?

Discussions about treatment with invisible braces that use clear aligners, such as Invisalign, OrthoClear, the Red White and Blue system, etc.

How are the aligners suppposed to fit against the gumline?

#1 Post by Over50 »

I just received a "preliminary" set (my actual aligners won't be ready until mid-January). These are trays that can be used with whitening gel that was included with the total package. These trays fit very well, but the edges go over the gumline on some places in the front, and totally across the back of the teeth. Do the actual series of aligners also fit this way?
One good thing, I tried dictating several reports with the trays in, and did not have any voice recognition problems (I use Dragon Naturally Speaking, which is a voice recognition program), so I am happy for that!
