my refinement aligners are finally here, im getting them on thurs, i had 11 lowers but when i was done my eye teeth (i think thats what they are called) on the bottom were tilting over my other teeth so i have been waiting 6 and a half weeks for my refinements, just found out my refinement includes 8 more trays!!!!thats another 4 months just to move 2 teeth a little bit..i cant believe it..i just want to be done already..my tops are now done (15 trays) but i have a pretty nice size space next to my eye tooth that i dont like but the dentist said they cant do anything about that because my bite wont line up if they try to close it..what i forgot to ask him was that when i was a kid and had braces that space was not there when i was done, so why is it there now?? i guess i will ask on thursday. so just had impressions done for my retainer on top so at least i guess im done with those even though im not completely happy with them..i guess its 100 times better then what i had before (major spacing between my front teeth and the ones next to them) i just wonder if really regular braces are the best way to go?

That stinks to think you are about done and now you have months left! At least your dentisit is doing it right. I don't know why you wouldn't have a space last time but do now. Your jaw must be bigger or something.

I wouldn't try to change to reg. braces yet. You'd probably end up spending a lot more money. It sounds like the next set of trasy will fix your problem. Good luck!

missmolly - sorry to hear about the time delay! i had a similar problem waiting for my aligners...took FOREVER

maybe yr gap will close in slightly?

Revised Plan:
U: 10 more (for a total of 23)
L: 10 more (for a total of 23)
3 additional buttons (for a total of four)
