Yay For Tooth Shaping! The Results

I thought I would show how much difference the tooth shaping has made. I was quite depressed about how my teeth looked when I went into the ortho. He explained this process and I agreed I SURE needed something. First time in my life I've ever had anything done where I haven't been numbed. No pain at all, but......wow, I sure wasn't depressed after I looked in the mirror and saw what a difference that little bit of work had made.

Wow! That looks amazing Lily! I won't be so scared to have some shaping done if that is the kind of results one can get.
Were you teeth always like that or was that from the aligners?(You probably said this already in your other thread, but alas, I am lazy)

Thanks Devushka! My teeth were slowly getting more and more crooked as the years went by. As you can see from this beginning photo how sideways the right tooth was shifting.

Yikes! I almost forget how bad they looked LOL

Wow, that's terrif Lily...is reshaping almost like "sanding down" in a way? I believe I will need that after my invisilign treatment. What is the cost btw?
Congrats!!!

Thanks so much Nogota and SmiilingsMyFavorite! And, yes, I think the shaping was exactly like sanding down. He used a little power tool and went to town. He never said anything about cost, so I'm assuming (uh oh) the cost was included.

Thanks scorpetteFL! I had hoped by posting this thread people would not be afraid of the "dreaded" shaping. I had asked the opinion of a few dental pros and all seemed to agree....if it isn't alot there is no problem doing this. There was absolutely no pain involved and it really got me excited about doing the rest of my treatment.Taking off my 2 attachments seemed to be more of a pain than this was. I needed something to boost my morale cause I was getting kind of down in the dumps. This SURE did that! I never dreamed it would make such a difference. In fact, if he hadnt done the IPR between the teeth I would have been happy to stop now. He really didnt like the "black triangles" that had formed due to some gum recession, and thats why he did the IPR. I feel very fortunate to have an ortho who really cares about my end result. I think that's half the battle!
