What does that really mean?? I done with the last tray. Will that be all? refinements? Wires? How long till the retainer gets here? Does the end mean more of the same? I'll let you all know as soon as I find out.

OK I am "done" with the invisalign. We are not totally pleased with the end result, although it is pretty good. The ortho gave two options...new molds, new trays for refinements, but said he could get faster results with better configuration using brackets for about 6 to 8 weeks...so that's what I'm gonna do.

Right now the buttons are off and I will wear the last tray only at night. (yea I can chew gum again and have a cuppa joe mid day!) and my next appt I will get the uppers bracketed and wired. Uppers should be done by start of summer, lowers by mid August as planned.

I am happy with this.

Invisalign followed by normal braces, seems to be a little too common.
Are you having to pay extra for the brackets.

Rotating teeth can be slow and a problem for invisalign. Not everyone's mouth works well that way. As I said the results are pretty good and we could go farther , but I already have brackets on the lower arch and found them to be less problem than the invisalign so I'm glad to switch over now.

No extra cost...my contract included refinements of any type during the treatment period.

OK so I am now wired on top arch too and already the movement is beginning.

If I knew at the start what I know now, I would have gone all metal all the way. Less lisp, less saliva slurp, can have a cuppa coffer mid day without taking trays out and then running to brush. A little less expensive. But seriously, the metal brackets are more comfortable!

It is harder to brush and floss...upper back teeth are hard to get to.

But the real story is, whatever method you choose, putting your mouth in order is the right thing to do.
