Dry Mouth is making me insane

I am on day 8 of my first tray... I did not notice anything the first two days but after that i started getting extremely dry mouth and lips... its like my lips are dry and when i lick them my tongue is even drier! my whole mouth is dry and drinking water doesnt seem to help or using chapstick etc.
Anyone have any suggestions?
When I'm not wearing my trays I notice my mouth is definately not as dry.

i had same problem as far as i can remember it was more than 2 years ago things will get better, try putting lip balm on lips or vaseline and u could ask ortho if u can get some sort of sugar free sweet to suck on of 1 of those chew things that people use to sit trays down.

Hi!
Dry mouth and lips are rough...no pun intended. The only thing that is bringing relief to me is constant water and constantly reapplying chapstick.
I wish I had better advice for you. Hang in there.

I didn't have symptoms that severe when I started, but I think it takes a couple weeks for your mouth to adjust to having the aligners in. By trays 3 or 4 you probably won't even notice you are wearing them.
So just hang in there. Things will improve.
