Hi, I'm new to this board and would just like to introduce myself. I'm a 39 year old woman in the UK who after much thought decided to have braces .
I have an overjet with spaces between some teeth and my dentist thought i would be the perfect candidate for the Clearstep system. I'm now on my 3rd week of using the trays (so tray 2) and already have seen an improvement and can feel them moving my teeth all over the place in my mouth.
There seems to be loads of posts from people using the Invisilign system, but I would be really interested to hear from any one using Clearstep, or am I alone?!!!

Welcome to the board, clearstepuk.
I use Invisalign, not Clearstep. But I decided to go for it at age 37 (now 38 ), so you are not alone there. Good luck with your treatment.

I'm using Clearstep. They're rarely mentioned on this forum, from what I can see, and I haven't seen much on the Web comparing them to Invisalign. I'm on my 14th set of aligners (clamps, as I call them), but I'd say I'm still in early days. I'm 38, and I'm having my teeth straighened becuase they're overcrowded.
From what I've been told by my dentist, Clearstep differs from Invisalign in that you get your aligners in smaller batches, and are reassessed between batches. I get eight sets of aligners each time.
I've been quite happy with the treatment so far. The biggest frustration was in January last, when I was left for over 8 weeks waiting for my second set of clamps after being told I'd wait about 2 weeks. Last thing I want is to be wearing these things for one second longer than I have to to straighten my teeth!
Good luck with them.

Hi, great to hear from another Clearstep user. What I really like about this system is that you see step by step how your teeth are going to improve because of the molds. I've got a box of 8 and from the first to last one they almost look perfect which would be only 4 months.
As you say they need to assess them after this first box, but it looks like it would be minor adjustments thereafter. I need to check wiht my dentist as he thought that this was the one and only box of braces I was getting.
Be nice to hear as you are quite far through your treatment how well you think they are working for you and good luck too.
