Should my trays look like this...

Hi all

so, Invisalign - 'almost invisible'.

The trouble is, what makes mine NOT invisible, is the texture of the inside of the trays. They're lightly lined, like contour lines. This makes them look quite weird when on, because the saliva that makes it's way in really stands out and you can see the lines. It's not flat plastic, essentially.

I can live with this, but I just wanted to check that everyone else's are the same and these aren't just faulty.

Afraid I can't take a photo, as I don't have access to a digital camera here.

Please tell me yours are the same!

Yep, they should look exactly like that! :)
I think the texture inside is a (by-)product of the production process, and in the 3D computer modell of your teeth they do before, you also see those lines. Could be something to do with plains and physics, which I was never good at and therefore better shut up now...

I for my part noticed the miraculous thing that the longer you wear the trays, the less visible they become... It might have to do with their fit on your teeth, when they fit more snuggly, they are more invisible!

Mine have those lines also, but I don't notice them when wearing them. The aligners are pretty much flat on most of the teeth and I think there is enough saliva between the tooth and aligner to make the lines invisible.
