Still haven't got a call that my clincheck or aligners are ready. My ortho has already been paid $5grand. Any one else have to wait this long?

Mine was close to two months but that was because I had a complicated case, my doctor likes to make adjustments to the clincheck instead of accepting the first thing they send him, and there was mistake in the first clincheck I saw. You should be able to call and ask what is happening, after all, for 5 grand they should make the time to keep you informed.

I didn't make the big payment until I accepted the final clincheck, so it's odd that you had to pay up front even before the clincheck. You should be able to see it first before committing.

I waited almost exactly a month before my Clincheck was ready. I actually went to an accredited AACD Cosmetic Dentist (there are only 2 in NV), and he said that he often had several back-and-forths with Invisalign before he and they would come to a consensus. I really wasn't worried about how long it took, since I figured the more time it took, the better the aligners should fit I also didn't have to pay the entire amount until the Clincheck was ready, which was essentially when I decided whether or not I liked how it looked, before the trays were made. I only had to pay a $150.00 records fee, which was non-refundable, but would be applied toward the total amount for my trays, if I decided to go through with it. I would definitely call the office to find out the status. Hopefully, the dentist is just doing some refinements. Good luck!

I paid up front because I was given a discount if I paid in full. Also my dental insurance is paying $1200, the first $600 has already been paid and the insurance will make a second $600 payment soon. My portion was $4500 Didn't want to go the monthly route.

I had my molds taken on a Monday, my clincheck was ready by the following Tuesday and my aligners arrived by the following Friday. My dentist told me it normally takes them 7-10 days to receive the aligners after the clincheck is approved. One thing to keep in mind; When I commented to my dentist about how quickly everything was happening he explained that because of the amount of cases he handles (he's the only premier provider in my state) he has his own technician with Invisalign that handles all his cases. He said a lot of dentists/orthodontists don't have their own technician so it can take a lot longer for things to get done. Also, from what I've read I think a lot of the "wait" time in between molds, clincheck, aligners, etc. is due to how on top of things one's dentist/ortho is.

I think you should give your ortho's office a call.

Two months is a long time, but then again, such a long wait is not unheard of.

The time it takes to produce the aligners depends on where you are located, the status of your ortho (although they won't admit that openly), the time when your impressions were taken (at certain times of the year, delivery/ production will take longer).......

When I got my first set of aligners, I also waited for about 8-9 weeks, and it finally turned out that the office had just forgotten to give me a call and the aligners had been ready for quite a while.
My first revision also took a long time because one of the impressions had to be redone - and they didn't tell my ortho immediately, only when he sent an email inquiry...

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if that had anything to do with it. The time from my impressions to receiving the aligners was less than two weeks and now I am sure it was due to that fact. My dentist is a premier provider and one of only two in my city and I have seen the client list and the storage room with all the patient aligners and he has a lot. A lot. I can see how Invisalign would be speedy for the people who are pulling them in business.

The lab might still be backed up. I actually waited four months for mine to come in. It would've been three, but my bottom impression was messed up and I had to wait an extra month while they sent in the revision mold.

Today marks 2 weeks with my Invisalign and all is well. Only hurt for the first 2 days. This is the 3rd time in my life with braces. First time with head gear (actually a strap behind the back of my head attached to wires.) 2nd time full on barbed wires. Invisalign is a piece of cake in comparison. Would recommend to anyone. Also I was also prone to canker sores when my mouth was nicked by potato chips,etc. Not a one yet.

My ortho sent the clincheck back too. But even with that and a 2 week delay because my impressions had to be redone it didn't take that long.
