First of all, don't be worried! In my experience, the impressions didn't hurt at all. It was a little weird having goop in my mouth, and took a lil' while to floss all of it out of my teeth afterward

, but it was certainly not a big deal. My dentist's office took two separate molds of my top and bottom sets of teeth; one had no flavor, and the other was raspberry flavored.

As far as how long between your impressions and the aligners, from what I've read on here, it varies. For me, it was almost a month. But this is because my dentist is a bit of a perfectionist, and will go back and forth w/Align before he and they agree on how everything looks. It may take less time for you though. Once my aligners came in, I got my attachments and IPR done the same day, and that was no big deal either. You'll be fine.

Just expect to feel a bit of pressure the first day you have your aligners in. So far, I've had no pain yet, although I'm only on my second tray. Good luck with your treatment!

I was worrying about my impressions (I've gagged having them done in the past) but it was actually nowhere near as bad as I had expected! They were in for longer than any I've had done before, but definitely didn't hurt. It took me ages to floss all the rubbery bits out from between my teeth too! The last bit I found, like, 3 days later...
My next appointment to discuss Clincheck was 2 weeks later - and I am UK based and not with a Premier provider. I was pleasantly surprised it was so quick.
After agreeing the Clincheck, my next appointment has been booked in for another 3 weeks to give the aligners time to arrive.

Haha, same here! I thought I had gotten it all out, and was still getting pieces a few days later. What we won't do for our teeth

today went good.
1st they took the impressions of the bottom teeth (with the white stuff)
and then they took the top. (but it got stuck and ended up breaking)
so they had to take the top again.. but that didnt work either
so they took the top again. finally it worked!
so then the different colored gel stuff (mine was green.. but anyway)
the bottom did it perfectly and of course the top gave us trouble again...
so they had to do the top.. 3 times i think...
so ya...
then they did pictures and x-rays and stuff.
my dentist told me to expect 4-6 weeks for the aligners.
i hope it will be about a month!

i realllyyyy want them!

I had an orage "stuff" for the first impression and the "fine ones" were in some violet thinggy. Colours differ, it's the same thing.
You'll receive a clincheck before the actual aligners. You'll see on a 3D program how your teeth will look in the end and how they move (awesome thing) and you'll approve the treatment. Then you get the trays.
I waited for 2 months top since impressions to aligners.
