pulling down teeth with elastic-anyone else?

I had 44 upper aligners, which is over. But! My #7 and #10 have to be pulled down. Instead of refinements I got elastics. They put 2 buttons, 1 on each side of my teeth on the top, cut the aligner around them, and I have to connect them with an elastic. The problem is they are not working, I have been using them for 6 weeks.....nothing happened. I wanted to get refinements, but I am afraid my ortho doesn't want it for some reason. Any advise? I don't know how to attach a picture...

I have a similar problem with my #7 (upper lateral incisor). It's supposed to be rotating, but is moving up also, so it's no longer all the way down in the tray. I'm not sure how the refinements I get in a couple months will deal with it. Hearing your case, I may make sure I get an attachment on that tooth.
In your case, can you use stronger elastic bands?

Now I use two elastics to make it stronger. Let me know how your refinement aligners work in your case, please!
