My tongue is shredded

Now apart from complaining about my front teeth attachments that don't blend with my teeth, and not being able to get these things out without metal hooks and extreme pain, on day 4, my first day back at work I am in agony. My whole job is talking, and my tongue has been ripped to shreds by a sharp edge on the bottom of my bottom tray, just where my tongue goes for words with, th l, w, g and pretty much every other phonetic sound.
Please please help!
(PS Nail file did not work)
been there

I had that problem with quite a few trays in the beginning. What you need is a metal nail file. It's usually a tiny little sharp edge thats cutting your tongue to pieces; a couple of swipes with the file will dull the edge and your problem will be solved.

I only had the problem with my very first upper tray. The plastic above my front teeth cut up my gums pretty bad. But i toughed it out, and none of my trays have had the same problem. Hopefully the same happens for you!

For the first few days my tongue was a terrible mess, top and bottom. I'm one of those neurotics that can't keep my tongue off dental work - even right after a cleaning. I got my first set the day before we went away for a long weekend, which added to the stress. But after a few days, things got much better and my tongue healed quickly.

My ortho filed all my trays to get rid of any sharp edges.
To be honest with Invisalign you shouldn't need any wax. I filed my trays with a nail file until my ortho appointment and then showed him the edge that was the problem and he did all the othe trays.
Good luck. One thing my ortho told me was that you shouldn't have any pain with these things, so if you do, contact them.
