Hi All,
Im about 19 hours in. My teeth hurt quite a bit... I'm sure it will improve over time. 3 questions:
-Is it normal to have constantly dry lips? I keep applying lip balm to no effect.
-I'm thirstier than normal is this related to wearing the trays?

Yes, I had exactly the same. Keep lip balm/vaseline to hand at all times and a bottle of water!! Its good for the skin too

Yes its very normal. I always have lip balm and water on hand. As time goes by you may find that your lips are not as severely dry as you are experiencing now. I found that somewhat improved for me after the first few trays.

Yep - all normal. I drink about 3 litres a day now to keep my mouth from drying out. Which is great health wise, but just means more trips to the bathroom

I'm not more thirsty than usual, but WOW are my lips ever so dry!!
Cracking and peeling! So, I always carry lip balm with me (the only ones that worked for me is the medicated kind, I tried some others and did not help one bit).

Dry lips can be caused by the ingredients in some toothpastes and the increased brushing that goes with Invisalign. I use a damp cloth to wipe toothpaste foam off my lips after brushing and this helps tremendously along with lip balm. When I forget, I get chapped lips again. This still happens after over a year in treatment.

Yep, I didn't have the excess thirst for the most part - if anything I have a bit of excess saliva still - but I do have the dry lips. I just make sure to use lots of lip balm/chapstick. I have one in my purse, one in the bath, one at work.. you get the idea LOL
