New attachments came with refinements and they hurt!

So apparently while I was in Invisalign bliss for a year, they came up with new (and hopefully more effective) attachments. So my old attachments came off, impressions were taken, and my refinements (11U/10L) came in. They put the new attachments on yesterday. I've been leading a retreat for kids this weekend, so I haven't worn the aligners as long as I should be (though I've kept them in as much as possible and plan to wear them 20 hours+ starting tomorrow). While talking to the kids, eating, and singing, I realized after a day that the new types of attachments (which are more triangular instead of rectangular) are somewhat sharp and are REALLY tearing up the insides of my cheeks w/o the aligners in! :(

My question is... has anyone else noticed a painful difference in the new attachments compared to the old ones? :?:

I have large rectangular attachments that are very uncomfortable with my aligners out. On occasion, I've had busines dinners where my aligners were out for two or three hours and I ended up with sores in my mouth from them. The only way to keep them from causing problems is to keep my aligners in. I've had these since July and they still cause problems.

Recently, I was given the ok to wear my top aligner only at night as I've finished with the top and still have several to go. The upper attachments bothered me enough that it was better to have the aligner in. Dental wax doesn't help as it doesn't stick to attachments.
