I'll try to be short. In pics you can see that my upper 2 teeth are slightly crowded, skewed inwards. My lower teeth seem pretty much perfect, but the upper jaw is a bit smaller than it should be so some teeth are pushed inwards too much and deforms my front teeth.
I thought simple braces will fix this. I went to the orthodontist and she said I have to get a jaw surgery to reduce the size of my lower jaw since I have an underbite or crossbite that can't be fixed by braces.
This jaw surgery would cost me 5 grand or something and would be pain for 3 years. I don't really have problems with my bite, I can bite pretty much everything and the only thing I am concerned about are my 2 slightly skewed front teeth.
Currently my last 2 wisdom teeth are growing out (1 in the upper row and 1 in the lower) and it seems like they will grow out just fine (despite my orthodontist saying I have to pull out all of them).
Basically, I don't want and will not saw my jaw off. I am hoping that maybe invisalign could help me. I took a good look at my upper teeth row and it seems that the only thing needed is for the teeth to be pushed out slightly outwards and there will be room for everything.
I considered getting veneers but don't want to ruin perfectly good teeth and then have all the risks that come with them.
But I really want a beautiful smile. Maybe some specialists here have something to say?
Jaw surgery the only answer? Invisalign - save me!

I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
I suggest getting a second opinion. I had problems with the shape of my jaw and surgery was not recommended. When my daughter got braces, the first orthondontist wanted her to have surgery, but the one we chose and the one I am going to didn't.
If you have a complex case, Invisalign may not work for you, or may be used with a combination of other treatments. I started out in Invisalign and now have a combination of clear retainers, metal buttons and elastics, which are being used to treat my deep bite without being very visible.
At least with a second (or even third) opinion you'll be more confident with your final decision.
Good luck!!

I run a board just like this one for parents that dealt with infertility issues and I think what she is talking about is not so much about the registration process but the site that the photo is linked to having spam or a virus on it, etc. We had this problem on our board about a year ago - members would click on a link for a photo or link to an article, etc and next thing you know they have some virus or spyware on their machine. It wasn't anything the member did, it was whoever ran the site that the photos/article were on. We finally had to do away with linking photos and such as well, however the board/web hosting company supported upoading attachments, so it wasn't a big issue.

No, the admin deleted it because the image was hosted on another forum about the same issues. *sigh*KUMonkeyMomma wrote:I run a board just like this one for parents that dealt with infertility issues and I think what she is talking about is not so much about the registration process but the site that the photo is linked to having spam or a virus on it, etc. We had this problem on our board about a year ago - members would click on a link for a photo or link to an article, etc and next thing you know they have some virus or spyware on their machine.
