Have Braces Changed Your Life? Then read this!

#1 Post by bbsadmin »

Have braces changed your life? Did you hate your smile, get teased for it, or badly need some orthodontic work as a child -- but your parents couldn't afford it? You're not alone, and right now, there are thousands of kids across the country who need braces -- some for medical reasons -- and can't afford to get them.

That's where the Smiles Change Lives charity comes in (http://www.smileschangelives.com). Smiles Change Lives is a non-profit charitable organization that works with orthodontists across the country to provide orthodontic treatment for underprivileged kids. ArchWired.com has teamed up with Smiles Change Lives with a donation matching program. Starting this holiday season, and continuing into next year, ArchWired.com will match, dollar for dollar, the donations given to Smiles Change Lives on our behalf. Our goal is to raise $1,250 -- which we will match for a total of $2,500 -- which would give orthodontic treatment to 10 underprivileged kids in the US.

Here is a link to the donations page. Please only use this link for donations, so they will be under ArchWired's name:

I think that everyone on this message knows what sort of impact "bad teeth" can have on one's self esteem and ultimately one's life. Sometimes it's not just an aesthetic problem -- sometimes it's functional, resulting in TMJ, headaches, and other chronic health problems.

I hope that some of you can find a way to donate even a small amount to his worthwhile cause. I know that this message board means a lot to you guys. Please help us support this cause. Orthodontists who visit here - please make a donation, and tell your colleagues about it!

Thanks,
Lynn, the board Admin and owner of ArchWired.com
