Got Invisalign but still waiting for first trays?

I accepted the invisalign treatment from my Clinchek almost 4 weeks ago and still havent heard back from the dentist. How long does it usually take to get the trays? I was told 1-2 weeks by the receptionist but they still havent received them. I live in Vancouver, Canada by the way.

I got mine about 12 days after the final decision was made on which of my teeth to remove (due to severe over-crowding on the bottom).

Good luck!

From the time the ClinCheck is approved by the doctor, to the time trays arrive in the office is usually anywhere from 1-2 weeks as the receptionist told you. I have heard stories about the aligners being held by customs, but having had hundreds of boxes shipped, have not personally had that problem.

Your dentist should be able to track exactly where your package by logging into their account.

I called and they apparently had to get it reshipped because it's "lost in transit"

This is so frustrating as i'm into week 6 now of waiting and should be on my 3rd of 10 trays.

This does happen once or twice a year in the few hundred shipments we receive via UPS from Align every year. Frustrating for both the doctor and the patient. Hope it arrives soon!

Just out of curiosity Dr. Tam, how much would you charge a patient requiring "relatively simple treatment" with Invisalign express (10 trays)?

What I can tell you is that our fees generally range from $5000-$7500 with some exceptions. I have exactly zero Invisalign Express patients in the past few years since I don't see many people come in who need orthodontic treatment for 5 months or less.
