Canker sores ouch!!!!
It's day 2 on my second set of trays and I have a terrible canker sore!!! At first yesterday when I noticed the pain it almost seemed as if I bit my cheek slightly, which I could see happening since the aligners make me grind my teeth, but today it was a full blown canker sore. And not one but TWO right next to each other. Ugh and the worst part is they sit right where my teeth bite down in the back of my mouth so every time I talk it's rub my teeth against it. I know what your thinking, just keep your mouth shut right? But I'm a hair stylist which requires me to talk on and on with clients while trying so hard not to let it show I'm in pain. Have any of you been battling with these as well? I just got back from target and picked up this great liquid that drys over the sore an adds a protective layer over it preventing it from getting worse. Best part is It also numbs it so I can't feel a thing. I did just put it in so I'll see how long this lasts. Has anyone discover any way to prevent these in the first place or any good ways to treat them?

There is a mouth rinse called Peroxyl, which is a hydrogen peroxide solution for the mouth to keeping it clean and helping it. If you do happen to get a canker sore, take a Q Tip and dry it off, the Canker Sore, and take Orabase and dab it directly on the sore and it acts as a bandaid. You can buy it anywhere even the local grocery store or walmart. Same goes for the Peroxyl.
