finally got invisalign....for two weeks only

Like most people, I wanted invisalign. I got fixed braces instead.
Five years down the track since being debonded, my upper fixed retainer breaks.
I go into the office three days ago and my ortho takes a look and says "...that tooth (a stubborn incisor that took almost the entire length of treatment to move into place) has settled". The subtext was "in the wrong position".
Solution: remove bonded retainer - well, it's broken after all - and correct tooth movement with an aligner. Two weeks should do it and then I'll get the wire reinstalled and a new retainer.
I finally get invisalign, but not in the way I'd anticipated.
Am I enjoying flossing those teeth without the wire in the way!
