I had my third consultation yesterday and I was told that I would be a candidate for Invisalign. Two orthodontists suggest bringing the teeth beside my front two down. Another suggest pushing my front two teeth up. I am so confused. Everyone suggests something different. All agree that following treatment that I would need a gingivectomy to remove excess gum tissue but I already knew that.
I am excited that Invisalign was suggested. Has anyone had a similar situation? Do you think Invisalign will work for me? I wish I could see the final projection before I make a decision. I am just ready to start and finish.
It might help if you mention to them how you want to look at the end. As for whether you're a candidate for invisalign, only an ortho can say. If you're at all "borderline" (like me) on whether you are an invisalign candidate, go to a premier or elite provider who has a lot of good reviews.
Different orthos have different approaches, both of which might work. For example, one ortho wanted to pull my first top premolars and another wanted to pull my second top premolars. The end result is what matters.
