How did the invisalign work? Cosmetic Dentistry?

After 35 trays (top and bottom), I'm done. I've been in tray #35 for the past 6 months, and my Ortho is ready to order the retainers.

I'm mostly happy with the final results...it's just the height differences between my central and lateral incisors seems a bit off. I guess I thought everything would be more level.

I asked the Ortho, and he said that he's very happy with the way everything looks and that the laterals are supposed to be a touch shorter (he said about 1mm is perfect). He also said that invisalign doesn't extrude teeth very well, so bringing the laterals down isn't really an option. He did say that I could check with a cosmetic dentist to see about getting the central incisors filed down a bit, but he doesn't recommend it.

I checked with my dentist at my last cleaning (for a second opinion), and she concurred with the Ortho. Said everything looks fine to her.

I'm still not happy, so I guess I'm just looking for input from the community. Am I being ridiculous?

(As a new member, I'm apparently not allowed to post images, so here's a link)

All input (and any peace of mind) would be greatly appreciated!!!

Your teeth look great and very white! Usually those teeth are slightly shorter than the front two but I've seen a lot of people that had their teeth filed down when they were younger to make them even; I think it looks a bit awkward to have all your teeth filed the same length. Also some people with veneers will have a completely filed down look and it almost always looks a little fake; kind of makes them look a bit like dentures.

I suppose that if it really bothered you, you could see if the dentist would build up the lateral incisors a bit instead of filing the central incisors down.
