I believe my bite changed a lot after getting implants placed. I had them placed for 3 premolars. It was after this that my dentist told me I have an open bite. I had never even heard this term before. I think that the implants (with crowns that weren't made correctly) with the combination of a nite guard created an open bite. I would really like to hear from other people who have implants and see what they think.

Have you thought about replace your crowns? There might be height discrepancies w.r.t your neighboring teeth causing an improper bite.
Also, nightguards and invisalign tend to intrude teeth, which might be causing the bite to open.
See if wearing a hawley retainer might help you alleviate bruxism.
