About to get braces

Hi everyone,

I posted this message in another forum till I looked and found out it was the wrong forum.

Anyway I am 22 years old, and getting braces for the first time. I was told that I needed them earlier in life but managed to avoid getting braces. Well it was suggested that I talk to an orthodontist and get my teeth fixed.

So, I get them on tuesday

I only need them on my top teeth to fix an overbite I have. I decided to get ceramic brackets and a white archwire (so they are not visiable).

I am not sure what to expect but I guess I will find out tuesday. Any suggestions, support, whatever is appreciated

I'm in the same position as you. I'm also 22 years old and getting braces. My top front teeth are not aligned properly, so i'm getting them on only the top front six teeth. I'm getting ceramic as well. I'm very very nervous too. But i'm sooo excited to have nice teeth, it will be worth the suffering. Good luck with your treatment!

Welcome Rachel and bbbsq. This is a good site in which to gather support and information. Spend some time reading some of the posts and you will find quite a bit of helpful hints. Good luck with the up coming Bracing!

I got them on today and I have to admit they are MUCH better then I expected
