They are on!

#1 Post by Hallanole »

So I got my braces on a whole 2 hour ago.

It's amazing, I thought I was going to be more self conscience, but I'm not. I feel much more brave. The dr even put a sleeve thing to cover my ugly hole from my bottom front tooth being pulled. So it's less noticable too. As for colours, I did lilac on the bottom and some purple blue that looks more grey blue for the top. The other thing, I was in the bathroom doing a very detailed inspection and I noticed a blue dot on my bracket, then a red on the next, I have brackets that almost look like they have little jewels in them. I swear it's so freaking funny!

So all it well. I bought a waterpik the other day and practiced that.

As of now, I'm just trying to get used to the awkwardness of the braces and my lips fitting over. I'm very surprised too, I thought it was going to hurt a whole lot more.

So it's offical, I am one of you for the next year and a half! lol

#2 Post by Cor1 »

Hi there, I just got my braces on Thursday, and like you checkin out how they look in the mirror, I too noticed a small red dots on mine too!!!

Wonder what they are for??

I just bought myself the Waterpik Powe Flosser, I quit enjoy it, it is hard for me to floss right now, so this makes me feel that I still am, and also the vibrations make my teeth feel good!!

I think the colored dots are to tell the orthodontist which tooth it is for, not really sure if this is accuarte info, if not, it's close. After a few brushings the dots will disappear.

Good luck with your ortho treatment.

Oh yeah the pain hit last night and this morning it's OMG!!!! Wah!

I think I might of ground my teeth last night.

As for the wax, I feel like I'm gonna need more. It's 3 brackets on the upper that really irritate me. They have that little point on them.

I'm starving now and I think I'm gonna get an egg for breakfast. I need really SOFT food. I tried some regular semi soft yesterday when I had no pain. But today it's calling for pudding and anything else that doesn't require chewing! lol

Hope your treatment is going well. I hope the pain goes away soon. I suggest talking to your orthodontist. :) Nice icon. Final Fantasy VIII it looks like.

Well the canker is getting better, now it's getting use to the cutting. I swear it's getting worse.

My new motto, who needs colegen? Get braces and have Angelina Jolie lips! lol
