back wires digging in to cheek!

Hi all, i had top ceramics fitted almost a month ago and all is fine apart from the loose tooth feeling which has now almost gone but over the last week, the wires held on to the brackets at the back have been really hurting and rubbing my cheeks so it hurts every time i smile! The wire actually stuck in to my cheek the other day and i couldn't move my mouth!!! I am kind of getting used to it but it is slightly annoying!. What can i do? Is this normal?

no it's not

call your doc and schedule an appointment so he can cut the wire so it won't do that anymore

I agree with haywire, call your ortho and get it clipped. I had to get mine clipped 4 days after my braces were put on. If you can't get in before the weekend, put wax on those sharp areas to get some relief!

Yep! That's not normal at all! Go get them clipped. Just got one of mine clipped as a matter of fact.

Thanks for advice. Got wires clipped and elastics changed as i had Bombay mix the night before thinking the bands looked ok in the evening. Holey moley...they looked terrible the next day!!!! WARNING...do not have Bombay mix!
