Hi Everyone
Anyone else here with braces on prior to extractions have Alveoplasty done by their dentist following the extractions. I had routine ortho extractions of the 1st maxillary bicuspids. Does anyone know if Alveoplasty helps minimize maxillary protrusion, or has any other orthodontic benefit? Just curious, if smoothing out a more symmetrical alveolar ridge has much orthodontic benefit, or if my dentist was just bored and wanted to play with the surgical bur lol. Not that I mind I love anything surgical related. I would of asked about it at the time but I was kind of drowsy from the Novocaine.
happy smiles everyone
