I've had my braces on since December 9th, and at my adjustment yesterday, after two sets of wires already, I got stainless steel wires. I thought, having had my wires changed before, that I was prepared for how it would feel, but let me tell you, this is a whole new class of pain. I know things will settle in soon, but I'm back to swallowing my food whole and having a hard time drinking and spitting, just like when my braces were new. Bah. But! new dark blue ligatures! They look great.
I don't really have a question or anything, I guess I just want to gripe. :)
On the other hand, man, my teeth are looking great. My baby sis is about to get her braces in September. I'm trying to convince her to get gold brackets like mine! :) Hers are about half the cost of mine, blah, but her teeth were always less messed up than mine. She told our mother, who is consequently losing her top (I can't believe you're doing this, it's such a waste of money, you're stupid, why does everyone have to look like a Barbie doll, you must be shallow, blah blah blah). Our parents don't know I have braces and I'm trying to keep it that way.
