I am 41 years of age, have four children and one wife and reside in beautiful Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
I have had terrible teeth all my life. I know I am not alone, however. Well I am about to do something about it!!!
A little bit of history first. My family has crooked teeth. As a child, I used to grind my teeth. My single dad didn't have money to pay for braces etc to fix my teeth...and I have always been self conscious of my teeth! When I was about 16, I came off my pushbike, over the handlebars and smashed my top teeth (four of them). When I was 21, I saved enough money to get crowns placed on them. The crowns have been on for 20 years. They are the ones that have metal on the back of them and they are old. They look awful and don't match the color of my other teeth, but they are still an improvement on what was there previously.
I considered getting those 4 on 1 implants from overseas (Thailand, India etc.) but the cost is HUGE and my teeth are fine structurally. I only have two fillings for goodness sake! I don't really want to have them all extracted.
So now, it's over to Invisalign to see what magic they can perform. I love to smile. I want to smile freely, and I wouldn't get traditional braces at my age. My only hope is Invisallign to fix my gap, buck, crooked, twisted, crowned teeth.
I will also be documenting my journey at The Invisalign ChallengeI look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Paul,
Good luck on your journey!! I just started with the traditional braces last Thursday and this Thursday I am going to get the spacers taken out and my bands and wires fitted. I can not wait to read your story as it unfolds. Please keep us updated on your progress and let us know how it goes on in 2 days!!

Thank you both very much for your kind words. It's nice to have this network so that we can share each others victories and trials. I hope you are getting used to those new braces.

Hi Paul,
I'm in Invisalign too. I was originally given 36 upper/36 lower, with 13 attachments. I also had rubber bands for about a year. I had one stubborn tooth that just wouldn't turn, so now I'm in refinements on set 9 of 23. When I got the 1st set of refinements I also got 2 more attachments. The refinement trays are only worn 10 days vs. the 2 weeks of the first run. I hope things go well for you. I'm hoping to be done in early February.
