Hi all,
I'm a 19 year old teen searching for that perfect smile. I've been wanting braces since junior high but I've never had the opportunity to get them until now.
I had my consultation on October 26th. And got my braces (top and bottom) put on shortly after, November 8th. my birthday is tomorrow and as the first few days has come and gone I no longer feel any pain from the braces; and its an excellent birthday present for myself. The process was extremely quick for me. I of course was pleased because Ive been wanting braces for such a long time.
I have several spaces/gaps between each of my teeth (except the molars) and both my top and bottom teeth flare out a bit. I believe I also have a slight overbite but I can't really distinguish if it's an actuall overbite or just the flaring. Anywho, my expected debrace day is july 1st, 2014. Long ways to go but I'm loving and enjoying my braces at the moment.

I'm 21 and I got my braces the day after you on Nov. 9. Hope everything keeps going smoothly for you, and Happy Birthday!

Hi and welcome to the brace world!! I know you are excited about being able to finally get them. I got mine in July and I am expected to be debraced sometime in 2014 also. What type of braces did you end up getting? Well I hope everything is still going well. I look forward to following your progress.

Thank you! Its great to know our braced dates are THAT close together I'll be following your progress. I hope all is well with you. I'm loving the braces so far and either my mind is playing tricks on me or my teeth have already moved closer together!

Thank you for the welcome! I chose to get metal braces. Since I've wanted them for so long I couldn't imagine camouflaging them by getting to clear ones lol. How is your journey so far? How soon have you noticed a change in your teeth?

I also have the full metal braces and love them!! I just love getting different lig colors. I actually noticed some changes within the first week of having braces. They work fast sometimes. One morning I woke up with a gap in between my front teeth that I had never had before. I was so amazed. Another big thing happened today where one of my molars moved away from my other teeth. My link is in my signature so take a look at my page when you get the chance and you can see all the movement from the beginning until now with my teeth. I have pics posted. I hope everything is going well with you so far.
