Re: No Brackets I went with Invisaligns

I had another orthodontist appointment the other day. I was given refinement sets 7-12 and don't have to go back until the end of October. Everything is tracking well and my midline is right on. I haven't had to wear rubberbands since the beginning of summer and nothing has been said about wearing those again or any additional attachments or anything. As things stand, it looks like I might be done in February. I won't hold my breath on that, but I'm hopefull.

I went to the orthodontist today to pick up sets 17-20 of my refinements and got root helpers (actual braces on 2 teeth) to close a gap. One is ceramic the other is metal. I go back again on January 16th. I think the braces will stay on until the end. They don't hurt, they are just more difficult to floss around. 3 more sets to go, I hope. I'm hoping that I will be done, mid February and get my impressions done for the retainers.

Had another orthodontist appointment today received sets 21 -23. I go back on February 27th and they will take off the brackets, wires and remove the attachments. Once all that is done they will be doing molds for my Vivera retainers. It sounds like once I get the Vivera's they are going to add a hook or 2 and I will be wearing an elastic. I'm sure I will learn more at the next appointment. But the good news is I will be able to free range eat again.

Well, I'm still wearing brackets & a wire on 2 teeth with a power chain to close the extraction gap. I go back in 6 weeks. I'm currently wearing Vivera retainers at night. When I go back to the orthodontist, he will remove the brackets and it sounds like I'm going to wear a rubberband on the opposite side for a while. I have to bring the retainers to my next appointment.

I'm in retainers now. They took the brackets off at my last appointment. Its nice to be a free range eater again. I can finally enjoy the samples at COSTCO again.

Oh hello,
After my failed incognito attempt that orthodontist suggested invisalign.
He showed me own of his staff who was just staring, and she had an almost perfect smile already and did not look like she needed braces of any kind.
I have eight teeth on top with big spaces in them.
I am also a grazer for eating, not eating much at one time but more frequently.
I know how hard they can be to take out for eating and then brush.
i figured mine would be out more than in!
So I said thanks but no thanks and went for regular braces.

Re: No Brackets I went with Invisaligns- Now w/Brackets

Well I got a couple of brackets today. I still have 1 tooth that isn't properly rotated, so these will be on at least for 5 weeks when I see the orthodontist again. It's not too bad.

I had an orthodontist appointment on Friday and they put in a new wire. I get the brackets off on May 7th and then they will do new molds for retainers. I pick up the new retainers a week later!
