Getting Braces very soon

Yes, you do become somewhat obsessed. All I talked to my husband about for about 2 months was teeth. Then I spent a month talking to him about teeth and pain (I seem to be somewhat prone to it, lucky me!) Glad you got the fillings all fixed up

Well I am having my braces on this week so only 2 more days before this !!

Have stocked up on wax, floss, toothbrushes, magnifying mirror, soups, pasta, yoghurt, weetbix etc etc and want to be ready to handle it.

Cant believe it is this close now!

I am hoping I will see a difference in my teeth between 4 to 12 weeks time.

Will be happy if changes happen and I can start to see this.

I am subconsciously looking at everyones teeth now - quite an experience indeed !

Well. woke up feeling 'Nervous' and tried to calm myself thru the morning. Braced up today !!!!

The actual procedure was fast and painless (especially compared to the dentist and the fillings
I have been having.)

I feel like I have a mouth bulked up with things on my teeth - feels very weird indeed to feel that extra bulky feeling.

Have cooked up mashed potato for tonite and will take the nurofen over the next few days to help.

Don't know what I am in for the next week but they said I will be amazed at the results I will see over the next few months ! Yay !!

Will try and just go day by day till I get used to a mouth full of stuff !!

YAY!! congrats on now being a brace face

yep keep up the nerofen and soft food and you will get used to the feeling of the bulkiness and they wont feel so bad after a while. I am slowly getting used to the feel of them on my teeth and when I smile now, i still feel like they are these huge metal things on my teeth lol but I am starting to feel getting better each day

Yay! Glad they're on They do feel really big and bulky at first. That does okay away mostly once you get used to them though.

I have put quite a bit of wax on 'bits' and this has helped smooth that sensation.

My mouth seems very dry so lots of water drinking.

Just going to have to get used to this feeling but it will be so worth the finished result - day by
day - will try and keep positive !

I don't mind the feeling as I know things are 'afoot' as they say.

Hi, sounds like you are starting to get used to them already and hope the sores go away soon. I'm getting along just great, five days in an still no pain, aches, rubbing or soreness. Oh, and no perceivable movement either! Really enjoying having them and looking forward to my first adjustment in August (which seems a long time away).

That sounds great - so glad all feels so good !

I think the pressure feeling came after about a week on but as I say, so far !, its just there and not painful really.

Might be different after 1st adjustment in 5 weeks time.

Keep looking in the mirror everyday hoping to see more straightness but of course, such early days !
