New to the site

#1 Post by task »

Hi,

I'm getting some new retainers on Monday (Hawley type) having not work any for quite a few years I noticed my teeth had moved slighlty. I'd lost my old ones so made a Orthodontist appointment who recommended I get retainers made to stop my teeth shifting further, although if I want them to be perfectly straight again I would need to get fixed braces which is something I might discuss on Monday.

I haven't worn retainers for a long time (since school days) so it's going to take some getting used to. Would I be right in thinking that I don't need to wear them all the time and just at night would be OK. The Ortho wasn't too clear about that when I asked him.

Thanks

I am sure when you get your retainers, that he either tells you how much to wear them, or you can ask if they don't tell :)

Hey AHopewell, glad I'm not the only new person! What are you having done?
